Why We Built This Site
Mississippi gives the public broad access to court records. The hard part is figuring out which office holds the file you want. The Circuit Clerk keeps circuit criminal and civil cases, handles appeals from the lower courts, and issues marriage licenses. The Chancery Clerk handles divorce, probate and estates, guardianship, conservatorship, land records, and other equity matters. The Justice Court deals with misdemeanors, traffic citations, small claims, and evictions. The Sheriff manages jail bookings and active warrants. Add the Mississippi Department of Corrections, the Department of Public Safety, and the State Department of Health, and the picture gets crowded fast. This site pulls together the contact details, search portals, and request steps for each of these offices into one place.
